We Are A Community Of Learners

Cedars International Academy offers a project and problem-based learning curriculum that allows students to be creative. Projects are fully aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and are delivered in classes with small teacher student ratios. With a focus on academics and technology, we provide our students with diverse and dynamic learning experiences.

All students receive instruction in Spanish, art, music, and physical education. Peer groups led by the school counselor offer students training in essential social skills such as dealing with feelings, managing stress, and solving problems. A variety of after school activities offer additional opportunities for social development and experiential learning in a fun and creative environment.

Cedars has established a child-oriented but challenging environment designed to help students achieve their full potential. Using positive reinforcement strategies, the staff encourages students to show initiative, take responsibility, and build life-long learning habits. Cedars encourages a strong community spirit by emphasizing the basic school values, “The 3 B’s“:  Be safe. Be responsible. Be respectful. Students are inducted into a House System where students focus on our core values: Responsibility, Respect, Integrity, and Perseverance.

Cedars offers a free breakfast and lunch program. A separate after school care program is offered at hourly or monthly rates and includes snacks. Contact our office to arrange a meeting and a virtual tour of the campus.

What People Are Saying...

Cedars is a small, loving community that nurtures the whole child. It’s full of hugs, laughter, and rigorous academics. It’s a great option for families that prefer small class sizes, strong social-emotional learning, and project based learning. Cedars is the right school for us.

Niche Review

We have been attending Cedars for 3 years and absolutely love it! My kids were in a tiny in-home preschool, so we appreciate the small school, small classes, and sense of family/community at Cedars. Everyone knows everyone! My kids are thriving, happy, and receiving a great education!

Facebook Review

My daughter has really blossomed here. I love the fact that the older kids help the younger ones. I also like the fact that they don't just do the minimum when it comes to the lesson plan.

Great Schools Review

I love and appreciate the team here at Cedars! This has been a challenging year for my son and I due to family transitions and I truly feel like the decision we made to come to Cedars has been one of the best decisions we have ever made. My son likes coming to Cedars and I believe that is largely due to the fact that he feels loved and supported here, which has been extremely helpful for us this year. "It takes a village to raise a child", and I feel privileged to be a part of this village. Thank you Cedars for your continued support!

Great Schools Review

I transferred my children to Cedars because we were unhappy with the public school. All the teachers and staff are friendly and helpful. Two of my children went from average to honor roll students, I think this is because of the smaller class sizes- its hard for them to slip through the cracks like in overcrowded public schools.

Niche Review

Great place for my child. He is treated very well by teachers and staff. Learning new things everyday and opening up new possibilities for my child.

Great Schools Review

Amazing, definitely the best decision I could have made for my children. I drive 30 minutes each way to drop off my children and it is so worth it for a quality education and my children have thrived and excelled academically here. ~Great Schools Review
