Important Resources for Families Affected by SNAP Benefit Disruptions

Dear Cedars International Academy Families,

We want to make you aware of an important update regarding SNAP benefits. Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has confirmed that full November 2025 SNAP benefits may not be issued unless new appropriations are approved. In Texas, approximately 3.4–3.5 million SNAP recipients are at risk of not receiving benefits starting November 1.

Because of this disruption, demand for emergency food assistance is expected to increase. We want to ensure that families know about resources available in our community:

1. Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB)

  • Use the “Find Food Now” tool to locate free food pantries or mobile distributions near you: CTFB Find Food Now

2. Internal Pantry – Integral Care Food Pantry

  • Location: 3000 Oak Springs Drive, Austin, TX 78702

  • Distribution: Every Wednesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Flyer attached for reference

3. Additional Local Food Pantries (Travis County)

  • Travis County provides multiple community-center-based pantries available to residents (typically free, once every 30 days): Travis County Food Pantries

We encourage families who may be affected by the SNAP benefit disruption to reach out to these resources as needed.

Thank you,
Cedars International Academy
