Our class is our special community, and it's so important to me that we stay connected. As we navigate this tricky time, please know the education community has been sharing a wealth of knowledge on how to make things work. We have so many resources to share. You don't have to do this alone. Please subscribe to this page so that you get regular updates, as I plan to visit this space frequently. I look forward to learning and growing together as a class even when we can't physically be together.
Learn about your Teacher
About your teacher:
I have been a kindergarten teacher for six years in Texas and in Brazil. Before teaching I spent several years as a Director for a community program serving K-6 youth in my home state of Vermont. I have also taught Special Needs preschool, served as a Community Outreach Specialist, taught summer school, and worked as a Nanny. I have also been lucky enough to volunteer with AmeriCorps as a Service Learning teacher and literacy tutor with at-risk youth in the state of Georgia. I was certified to teach yoga to children in Ireland and frequently use movement, play and music to enhance the learning process. Traveling is a passion for me and often gets woven into my studies of the world with young people.

Bachelor of Science Degree from CHAMPLAIN COLLEGE in Burlington VT
(Dual Certification: Early Childhood Education, Birth - 8 and Elementary Education, K – 6)
Masters of Arts Degree from GODDARD COLLEGE in Plainfield, VT (Community Education)

There are many teachers out there sharing tons of free resources. If you have a printer, these are some additional worksheets your kiddo can work on. Please do not have them do all of them in a row-thats not fun! This at home time is a great chance to help your reader, writer, scientist, builder, creative, artist, etc thrive! Students this age need to move and play as part of their learning. This is just an option:)
